The best idea in my tiny mind is something rather more foolish. Take a V12 block, two 4.2 liner inserts and heads (one backward), and some custom cam and crank building later, voila! 8.0L+ DOHC V12. Some few have done part of this already, but I don’t think one’s been completed.

I’ve seen someone mid-build of doing that. Putting it into a hot rod of some sort, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it finished.

Would be absolutely nuts though. Scarp E46 M3s. Go chasing Gallardos and GTRs with your 70s Leyland stodge ;)
